Help Tobi’s family during her unexpected road to recovery
Donation protected
My Grandmother Heather, Husband Dakota and myself are making this on behalf of my Mom, Tobi and her husband Joey and daughter Harper.
On Tuesday April 30th my mom and her dog, Lucy were in a horrific 2 car accident. She hit a parked truck at a very high speed. It took the responders 16 minutes to extract her from the vehicle, and Lucy unfortunately did not make it.
My mom is stable but in critical condition. We are SO beyond thankful that she is still alive and with us!
She has a concussion, a very stiff neck from whiplash, multiple facial and rib fractures, a fractured sternum, 2 broken bones in her right heel which they have performed surgery on, 2 breaks in her right humerus, which she had surgery on today, May 3rd, and her left femur broke and broke skin and they have now done a surgery and an irrigation on that.
Joey, Dakota and I have missed work and I know there will be many more missed days for Joey especially with such a large recovery ahead of us for her. She will need to learn to walk again and will never be the same.
We are not looking to talk about it much more at this time as there are a lot of pieces to the puzzle and there is a lot on everyone’s plates and she is our top priority in making sure she gets better and heals.
I plan to be there every single day that I can be but it is a little over a 2 hr drive for me as she is in Vancouver. Our family has discussed it and we made sure at least one person sees her each day.
As some may know, GoFundMe does take 2.9% out of any donations, so you can also send any donations to my Venmo: Maddie_Albrecht_74.
Any and all donations will go to my mom and her medical expenses and for missed work for Joey.
Any amount helps, but if you’re not able to donate, that’s okay. Please feel free to share this and please please please pray for my mom and for our family during this hard time.
Please give us all patience and grace as we handle this.
I know she would love flowers or cards or pictures. If you’re interested in sending those please reach out and I can give you details on how to get those to her, or one of us can take them to her.
Visitors outside of family are not the best right now as she really needs to rest so please be respectful and understanding of that.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
