Tobias is a very sweet and loving cat, and I have been at his side from the moment he was born. He’s my baby, always with me—whether I’m in bed, taking a bath, or just moving around the house, he’s never far away. He loves to lay on me, knead while purring, and talk up a storm. At 13 years old, he’s still one of the silliest, most lovable cats you could ever meet, and it’s hard not to fall in love with him.

Back in September, Tobias became sick with what we believed was feline herpes, something he had as a kitten. His left eye was swollen, he had a bloody nose, he was hiding, and he wouldn’t eat. We took him to the vet, where he received fluids and treatment for his eye, and thankfully, he improved after a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, in November, he got sick again with the same symptoms. The vet quickly concluded he had cancer and gave him only a week or two to live, without running any tests. I couldn’t accept that answer and sought another opinion. On December 30th, 2025, Tobias had another appointment due to some crackled breathing, but he was still eating and doing fairly well. Blood work showed his white blood cell count was elevated, and the vet recommended a CT scan. On January 4th, he started hiding again and stopped eating, but by January 6th, he was drinking water, no longer hiding, and showing interest in food, though still not eating.

Now, I have to pay for Tobias’s CT scan out of pocket on January 9th, and it’s a very large amount. The funds raised will go directly toward his CT scan and any follow-up care he needs to give him the best chance at recovery. Please, I hate asking people for help. I’ve always been the kind to get things done, but I am disabled now and my parents are retired on fixed incomes. Tobias is my world, my everything. I’d do anything in the world for him, so if you could find it in your hearts to help, it would be deeply appreciated.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I received news I never wanted to hear. Tobias has cancer. It's eaten away at the bone in his sinus's and has started to eat it's way to his brain. The vet said he will start to have seizures in the future. I absolutely do not want that for him so we have decided during his next turn for the worse when he stops eating and drinking again that we will have him humanely euthanized. Any donations will now be going to those fee's.

My heart is broken, I truly believed he could be saved but unfortunately he is past that point. All I can do now is love him while I still have him.
