My name is Toba, and I’m reaching out for support as I work through a difficult time. I recently lost my job at Amazon after refusing to do work that went against my doctor’s advice. Even though I provided a doctor’s note, my employer disregarded it and let me go. Since then, I’ve been fighting to get my unemployment benefits, but Amazon is trying to deny my claim, which has left me without income for the time being.

Right now, I need help covering some basic expenses so I can keep moving forward. My dog, Shadow, is my best friend and constant companion—he keeps me positive and motivated. Making sure he has enough to eat is a top priority for me. I also need to keep my phone service active, since it’s my main way to connect with potential employers and stay on top of job opportunities. Finally, having gas in my car is essential for getting to interviews and running necessary errands while I search for work.

I’m asking for help just until I can either find a new job or my unemployment insurance is approved.
