Help to welcome Eileen & Matt back from surgeries

Hi all, my name is Susan Milliken. I am raising funds for our dear friends Eileen Dougherty and Matt Ruby. Just yesterday, Eileen and Matt both had surgery at Duke Transplant Center in Durham, NC. Matt donated a kidney to Eileen! Both surgeries went well and they are so appreciative of our prayers and good thoughts as they have gone through this long process that has been 9+ months thus far. Eileen and Matt will be recovering first in NC and soon back home on James Island, SC. Matt will have an easier recovery but will be unable to work as he takes it easy and heals. Eileen will have a longer recovery, but the prognosis is very good. The doctors say that Matt's kidney was a good fit and is already functioning well. We are in awe of Eileen and Matt and their bravery through all this, and in awe of the surgeons at Duke. Please donate what you can for us to help Eileen and Matt have groceries delivered when they get home to recover, help to take care of medical bills and to help with the high gas costs of commuting back and forth to Durham from James Island for check-ups and medical care that will go on for several months.
