Hey everyone I wouldn’t usually do one of these but at the beginning of this year my partner found out he had testicular cancer as he had found a lump on one of his testicles which the gp sent him for an ultrasound at the hospital and he then had to have an orchidectomy to remove one of his testicles to remove the tumour in February , he thought his bloods and ct scans were fine but this past month or two his tumour markers were high again which resulted to his doctor doing a more in depth ct scan where they told us yesterday on the 7/08/2025 that there were some small masses in some of the lymph nodes in his abdomen which means he will now be having to start chemotherapy on the 18th of this month which then means he will have to have time off work again as he did in February so not too long ago and on top of that he also has a hernia which he is awaiting surgery on but he can’t have that until after cancer treatment which is also causing him pain and discomfort which will mean even more time off work when that one gets sorted and I know that he’s worried about paying bills and transport etc while he’s off work and sick pay doesn’t cover priority bills also it would be nice for him to do stuff with the kids for bdays that are coming up and to take them out when he’s feeling better and to take some of the financial stress off him about paying bills as he doesn’t know how long he will have to have off work
