We are a group of concerned citizens, parents, and students from Millcreek and Holladay who are seeking more representation and voice when it comes to our local public schools. One of the few options is to explore starting a new school district that is made up of schools in Millcreek, Holladay, and South Salt Lake. Earlier this year, Granite School District announced that they would be looking to close up to 3 elementary schools in Millcreek and Holladay. In seeing the process unfold, we have found that due to Granite District’s extremely large size, we have very little representation in these decisions.

We feel it is time to explore creating a new school district. The first step to creating a new school district is to commission a feasibility study that will give us more information on the tax and financial implications a new district would create.

The money donated here would pay for this study and allow us to start the process of exploring a new school district.
