Help to start a safe queer life

Dear community, in this case we are asking for support for our friend Aden, this is his story:

Hello, my name is Aden. I am a queer refugee of Alevi and Armenian descent who fled Turkey in 2022. I am now living in Austria and recently married my partner of nearly a year.

Our marriage changed my legal status, but we don’t know how long it will take for this new status to officially come into effect. In the meantime, I have lost access to certain social benefits. I have applied for a work permit—however, as is often the case with bureaucratic processes, it may take several months to be approved. Until then, I have no income to cover bills, or basic needs.

My husband is doing everything he can to support me, but we are struggling. This prolonged waiting period is taking a serious toll on me—not just financially, but emotionally as well.

Still, I believe in the power of community and solidarity. If you are able to support me financially or even just share my story, it would make a huge difference.
