Help to save yoga in Kirkland WA!

SolarYou Yoga is a local Kirkland, WA business operated by an immigrant mom. The studio's mission is to bring health and wellness to residents of Kirkland and surrounding Eastside areas. We invested all our savings into opening this location in 2019. We opened doors in early 2020 right before pandemic lockdown measures started.  Because of that we did not qualify for government help (PPP loan, etc).


We had to stay closed for 5 months, operated at 11% capacity for 5 months and at 25% for 2 months  bringing in only 30% of operational costs, without paying anything to ourselves for more than a year. We have 6 teachers on our payroll and we are doing all we can to keep them employed through these hard times.


We owe rent money for all these months as we did not receive any rent break from our landlord. Our rent debt is $58,166.04 and the utility bill is $5,403.87.

We are facing eviction unless the debt is paid in full. 

March is a women's history month. Irina Novikova of SolarYou Yoga (www.solaryouyoga.com) is trying to make history by helping her students with their physical and mental health through yoga practice. And this is desperately needed in these hard times.
