Hi, can’t quite believe it’s come to this but here we are. My husband and I have a 6 month old Patterdale terrier, we’ve had her for 4 months and has brought love and joy to us every single day.

Earlier this week she became unwell, we rushed her to the vets to get her seen to. We had an insurance plan that covered us up to £7,000. First we were told it was overheating. It wasn’t. Then we were told it was a foreign body that she had likely swallowed. It wasn’t. Then we were told it was an issue with her spleen and needed surgery, we went along with this and she had surgery. We brought her home and she was very unwell. We took her back to the vets and we were told it’s parvovirus, despite her being fully vaccinated. All of the cost of this has been taken from our insurance amount and she now needs to be kept isolated for a week at a cost of £4,000. All of the misdiagnosis has eaten up the majority of the insurance cover. We have scraped enough to keep her there for 3 days but have no more after that and nothing if she needs any extra treatments.

All of this is the reason we are here. If people could kindly help us out in any way to keep getting her the help we need. We did everything possible to protect her from this but we’re told some strains are resistant.

RoxyMusic may have only been in our four months but in that time we have fallen in love with her. We are absolutely devastated that this has happened and the thought of loosing her because of a lack of funds when we did everything responsibly is almost too much for us to handle.

We need as many people to show her love in this very traumatic time for her. She is the most amazing, beautiful little puppy you’ve ever met. Everyone who meets her fall in love with her and we are desperate.
