Hi my name is Helen, 18 months ago we took in two ginger, girl kittens. Ratchet and Rivet.

Five days ago we received a call from our vets to let us know that Ratchet had been brought in by a very kind teacher as she had been hit by a car at the bottom of our lane out side the school. After lots of tests and investigations she has suffered two broken legs, a broken pelvis and some tears in her abdomen. She was treated initially by our local vet, we thought we would have to have her put to sleep as she had no response to pain in her back legs but a few hours later she started to respond. We made the decision to transferred her to a main veterinarian hospital. We have cat insurance but it only covers up to £4000 per yr. so far the bills are up to £9000. I’ve never asked for help before but Ratchet is an amazingly gorgeous cat, her sister Rivet is moping around the house and knows something is not right. We just need help to save Ratchet and the long road ahead for her recovery.
