Please help to save Raine (8 month old Filly)

Who are we?
We are a self funded sanctuary who take in horses and ponies who are on their last chance and have no where else to turn. You can fin us on Facebook "Pegasus Safe Haven" to find out all about what we do and meet other ponies in our care.
We really need your urgent help saving a little filly who is in dire need of lots of medical attention.
Raine was born at the sanctuary to a mare in foal that we took in in a very poor condition. Sadly we have already fought tooth and nail to bring her momma Panda back from the brink and now are facing possibly losing Raine.
Rain was doing exceptionally well and once weaned, having had numerous vet checks and had a full bill of health went to a fully vetted loan home. This was to ensure that she and her companion Summer (born the same week) got 1-1 care to further their education. We unfortunately rarely get time for at the sanctuary due to the other ponies in need in our care. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for them.
Unfortunately after a very short time at their loan home, due to circumstances out of our control and knowledge, Raine has swiftly gone downhill and we are unsure at the moment if she is going to pull through.
She's gone down quite a few times in the past 24 hours, is severely underweight, anaemic and dehydrated. The vet was called immediately upon PSH finding out about her condition and they are now working tirelessly to save her.
She has so far had warm water & enzymes pumped into her stomach and a full blood work done before needing to be transported to the equine hospital. Since arriving at the vets, she has received IV fluids, a plasma transfusion and lots of other medical support to try to help her regain strength.
We have paid £1000 up front to get her the care she needs but we need a little help to continue to try to save her.
Unfortunately all of this care is costly and has come at the worst time of year for us. On top of recent vet bills that we have been working hard to pay off (with massive support from donations), we will now be looking at another bill upwards of £1000 on top of transport costs to get both fillies home and additional feed, supplements and bedding.
If anyone can spare even £1 it would make a massive difference and ensure that we can continue to provide the best care for the pegasus ponies.
As with any bill for services its difficult to get the vets to come out when there is a large amount outstanding. This means we can't get the existing ponies regular check ups etc completed without ensuring the vet bill is reduced regularly.
Out vets have been fantastic, so if we can keep paying as much as we can, then they are happy to continue to provide regular care.
Our PSH family work tirelessly and pays for the majority of the upkeep from our own pockets, so any help we can receive is always massively appreciated (especially when we have such high vet bills unexpectedly) We couldn't do it without the ongoing support of our volunteers and supporters.
This page and the Facebook will be updated once we know more.
Thank you so much for your support, we couldn't do the work we do, on the level we do, without generous people like yourself donating.
Let's get her home safe and sound with her momma!
* Raine Update 26th Jan 2025 *
She's been stable over night. Eating & pooping like a trooper. We are waiting on a wider panel of bloods and poo sample. She still can't stay up for long periods of time due to being so weak and exhausted. Vets are hoping she will get stronger now she has been treated for lice and is being fed up and hydrated. They will call if there is any change. This is positive news. However she's no where near out of the woods yet.
Update 27/01/2025 - *Raine & Summer Update*
Raine stable over night again at the vet clinic. Unfortunately her temperature went up overnight so she's had some medication to keep her comfortable. Anemia is slowly getting better. Shes still eating and pooping so hopefully we're going in the right direction.
Summer has also been collected and is at a local livery yard so I can ensure she's getting what she needs and to get in some much needed handling so we can get everything she needs done much easier. Summer has also received some home treatment for a few minor issues but seems to be settled at the moment.
Update 3/02/2025
Raine is still unfortunately undergoing treatment at the equine hospital £2000 has been paid off the vets bill which this has helped towards. The bill is likely to be at over £3000 and growing. This unfortunately puts Pegasus Safe Haven at massive risk financially. We are just scraping by at the moment but this will have a massive knock on effect to the horses in our care. The loaner is refusing to pay anything towards the bills although loan contract stated that they were liable and court proceedings are now being discussed.
The reality is at this moment in time is we can't continue to afford Raines treatment without people like you donating, so please please help us get this girl home.
Raine Update 8/02/2025
SHES HOME, we still have a way to go. She's stable, eating, drinking, finally getting up & down on her own. She's still extremely thin and has raised heart rate & temperature but vets have advised this should come down after time. We need to book a visit in a few days for a recheck to ensure we're going in the right direction! Lots of onoing fees still coming in so please help if you can! The bill is currently at over £3000 and we are still waiting for the bill from the inital vet that refered Raine.
There's a few ways you can help we have items for sale on PSH Fundraising & Tack Sales, and online show running in PSH Oniline Shows, an upcoming tack sale TACK SALE FOR PSH PONY SANCTUARY , we are asking for raffle vouchers for our large upcoming raffle, through this GoFundMe and we also have a wanted list below your all awesome!
As previously stated further legal action is being taken to ensure loan owners participate in contributing so some information is limited.
