Hola a todos mi nombre es Guillermo Rodriguez y estoy haciendo este GoFundMe para pedir ayuda para mi mama (Esther Garcia) que ha contraído Covid en Venezuela. En estos momentos mi mama necesita una bomba de oxígeno y es extremadamente costosa y está siendo muy difícil para mi poder pagar todo lo que está sucediendo ahorita entre las medicinas, los exámenes médicos, las consultas y el transporte de mi mama. Y en menos de un mes han sido casi €1000. Mi mama se vive en Cua, Los valles del Tuy, Estado Miranda, Venezuela.

Mi mama está en el grupo de personas que es débil contra el Covid, mi mama sufre de “Espondilitis Anquilosante”, una enfermedad autoinmune reumática crónica con dolores y endurecimiento paulatino de las articulaciones de origen desconocido que no tiene cura, y Polimiositis otra enfermedad autoinmune que la cual es un tipo de inflamación crónica de los músculos.
Dos enfermedades con las cuales mi mama ha vivido por muchos años y que ha empeorado con el tiempo ya que a Venezuela ya no le llegan las medicinas para tratar esto desde hace más de 3 años. Comprar las medicinas y enviárselas a Venezuela es algo que es imposible para mi de costear. Como metotrexato y enbrel.

Debido a que mi mama no ha tenido tratamiento por tanto tiempo su cuerpo es extremamente más débil y el Covid ha sido realmente duro para ella al punto que ya de momento se le tuvo que conseguir una silla de ruedas ya que no tiene fuerza en la piernas.

Yo vivo en Irlanda como refugiado , hace 5 años logre escapar de Venezuela (gracias a mi tía Nora la cual vendió sus prendas de oro para poder comprarme un ticket de avión para venir a irlanda ya que con el sueldo de Venezuela era imposible) debido a la situación económica y por problemas con homofobia que viví en el país también, y desde hace casi 3 años soy el sustento económico de toda mi familia, mi mama mis 2 hermanos menores (19 y 11 años) y mi padrastro. (Salario mínimo en Venezuela es menos de 3$ al mes trabajando tiempo completo. Un kilo de pollo cuesta 5$)

En estos momentos está siendo muy complicado para mi lidiar con todo al mismo tiempo, yo soy estudiante también , intento mantenerme yo mismo y al mismo tiempo mantener a mi familia. Y los gastos adicionales debido a lo médico, más el dinero que yo le envío a mi familia mensualmente para que puedan comer, además de cualquier otra cosa que necesiten, yo no sé por cuánto tiempo más económicamente pueda sostener todo esto por mis mismo, tengo miedo.

Ciertas medicinas ya se han agotado y he tenido que volver a comprarlas, igual si logramos obtener el dinero para comprar el tanque, el oxigeno se tiene que recargar. Y no sabemos por cuanto esto va a durar. Estoy asustado.

Yo no he visto a mi familia en 5 años, no puedo viajar a Venezuela ya que soy refugiado, y el único sueño que yo tengo es poder sacar a mi familia de Venezuela para que dejen de sufrir las carencias que están pasando ahorita en el país. No sistema de salud, hospitales sin luz, falta de camas en hospitales. falta de electricidad, días sin que llegue agua a la casa. No medicinas para las enfermedades de mi mama.

Pero debido a todo esto que esta sucediendo con mi mama, me he visto forzado a usar el dinero que poco a poco había empezado a poder ahorrar para poder sacarlos del país, y usarlo para poder salvar a mi mama.

Si tu puedes compartir este video , si puedes donar lo que sea así sea 1$, 2 $, lo que sea , yo estaré eternamente agradecido.

Ya ahorita en este momento no se que mas que mas hacer, y esto es la última opción que me queda ,porque estoy solo yo en esto, yo no tengo ayuda de más nadie en lo económico. Y ya no sé qué hacer. Por favor si puedes ayudar lo agradecería muchísimo.

Aquí voy a dejar atados documentos , algunas facturas, medicinas que se la ha comprado a mi mama, como comprobante también.

Hello everyone, My name is Guillermo Rodriguez and I am making this GoFundMe to ask for help for my mom, (Esther Garcia) who contracted Covid in Venezuela, and at this moment my mother needs an oxygen tank and it is really expensive and it’s being really hard for me to pay everything what it is going on right now , medicines, blood test, exams, weekly check-ups with the doctor, transport for my mom, and in less than a month has been almost €1000. My mom lives in Cua, Los valles del Tuy, Miranda State, Venezuela.

My mom is in the group of underlaying condition where covid it is really dangerous. My mom have suffered from years of “Ankylosing spondylitis” and autoimmune chronic disease, is a type of arthritis in which there is a long-term inflammation of the joints of the spine. Doesn’t have a cure, and also Polymyositis which is another type of chronic inflammation of the muscles, which because of the situation of Venezuela my mother hasn’t been able to get treatment for the last 3 years as there isn’t more medicines of this type arriving to Venezuela (metrotexato, Enbrel) and they really expensive to get outside the country and then send back to Venezuela.

As she hasn’t received treatment for so long her body has become very weak and the reason why

has been really hard on her with the covid to the point that she is no able now to walk of and my family needed to find a wheelchair to be able to move my mom to the doctor’s appointments.

I live in Ireland as a refugee, 5 years ago I managed to escape Venezuela (thanks to my auntie who sold her gold jewellery to be able to buy a plane ticket for me) because of the economic situation and because homophobia I experienced too. For the last 3 years I have been the economic support of my whole family, my mother, my two younger brothers (19 & 11 years old) and my stepfather. (Monthly wages in Venezuela are less than 3$ working full time. And a 1 kilo of chicken is around 4$ to 5$)

At this point has become really complicated for me to handle all of this at the same time on my own, I’m also a student at AIDT in Dublin, and I try to support and provide myself and at the same time all my family, and the additional cost because of all this medical expenses plus the money I send my family monthly so they can eat, and for whatever other thing they need, I don’t know for how much longer I can hold all this financially/economically on my own, and I’m afraid.

Today I have needed to buy some medicines that already ran out for my mom, and same with oxygen if we get the money to buy a tank, oxygen need to be refilled. And we don’t know for how much long this will go.

I haven’t seen my family in 5 years, I cannot travel to Venezuela because I’m a refugee, and my only dream is to be able to take my family out of my country so they can stop suffering all the shortcomings that they are living in the country. The country lacks of medicines, public transport, lack of beds in hospitals. Health system. Problems with electricity, days without water at home from pipe system, and much more.

But because of COVID and how it is affecting my mom, I have been forced to use the money I have was finally, little by little, starting saving to save my family from Venezuela, to save mother’s life.

I am at this moment in a position where I don’t know what else I can do, and this is my last resource, because I am alone in this, I don’t have anybody else to help me with this economically. And I don’t know what else to do. Please if you can help I would be so grateful.

I will leave documents attached here, with receipts from visits to the doctor, medicines bought, exams done to my mom. I hope any kind of help can come from this.
