Help to save CASPER

Hey guys! I am Valerie, Percy the Hiking Lizard mom. Also mom of Casper, Laurie, Forrest, lil gecko Scotty. And you all know my hubs Sasha. We are rescuing since 2021 and rescued 19 reptiles. Some live with us, most rehomed and happily live with their forever families. We won’t stop. And we asked for help only once, when Forrest and his “sister” bills exceeded $2000. This time vet bills exceeded $4000 and we still need a CT scan for Casper. Casper appointment scheduled for April 17th, he will be under anesthesia and 2 procedures will be performed: dental (we dont know of it causes his weight loss) and CT scan to make sure it really is the problem or he has something else.

We might need some help with some Casper’s vet bills. We usually have one problem at one time. One rescue at one time. But Percy and Casper both suddenly got really sick. What happened to them?

Percy somehow managed to brake his teeth. Meaning acrodont. Beardie's teeth are directly fused to their jaw bones. He misses 1/4 of his lower acrodont. And the bacterias got in the cavity and started destroying bones and flash.

Today, on April 4th, amazing Dr Nielson performed amazing surgery and: drilled the jaw, washed and cleaned the puss and dead tissue, installed antibiotic beads. Percy will have a long recovery road.

What’s wrong with Casper?

No idea. Casper keeps loosing weight. He lost 1/4 of his weight during 2 months. He is active, eats, zooms, poops, cuddles, tries to kiss me. He eats a lot daily. But keeps loosing weight. His blood is okay and no parasites. He has some dental issues, but they hardly could be a problem. You all know HOW sweet he is. I want him to live a long happy life and i ll do my best.
