Melody, aka Starrpath Vizsla, has always been ready to spring into action to help our Vizsla community. Today Melody needs our help.  Ms. Legs, her much beloved 3 year old Hungarian Vizsla, is lost in the high desert of California and needs us!

Melody, Ms. Legs and fellow packmates attended a field trail this past weekend. On their way home, before reaching the busy Highway 395,  Ms. Legs and her buddies stopped for a quick potty break near Columbia Rd and Twenty Mule Team Pkwy, about 18 miles north of sparsely populated Boron. 

The dogs were keen to get out and stretch their legs. It is likely that a rabbit ran out near Legs & Razz and the chase was on. Ten minutes went by and the two dogs had not returned and did not respond to their trained whistle calls. A frantic search began and 20 minutes later Razz, Melody’s other Vizsla, came running up to the RV from the north but Legs was nowhere to be seen. An immediate ATV search party was organized and the search through the night began. The desert search is still continuing and the nearby towns, communities and businesses are being contacted with informative flyers and posters about lost Ms. Legs.

The terrain in this area is desolate, rough and treacherous with many old mines. 4x4’s, motorbikes and walking search parties have been combing the area but the vegetation and undergrowth creates low visibility and makes searching nearly impossible. Melody and her Starrpath Vizsla pack have been out in the desert everyday but have found no trace of Ms. Legs 

Due to the treacherous, and desolate, terrain the Lost Pet Professional tracking dog team has been called upon to help find Ms. Legs. Karin TarQwyn and her K9 TEAM are packing up now to deploy to California.

Karin and her professional K9 team are expensive but, with your help and all of us acting together, we are able to do all we can do to bring Ms. Legs home to her loved ones.

A vast community awareness campaign is in place in hopes that someone in the desolate area has seen Legs.
