Help to rescue 42 animals in Ukraine

Tax deductible
Joan’s Animal Rescue Centre (Altshallan, Glangevlin, County Cavan, Ireland. RCN 20206386) is partnering with Victoria Sia, an animal shelter in Ukraine to relocate 7 Dogs and 35 cats, as well as their dedicated carer Alex, from the warzone to Ireland. Alex has vowed not to leave without them despite the obvious danger they are all in. Please help us to help them by donating what you can via gofundme or iDonate funding pages (on iDonate please clearly mark your donations for the Ukraine Appeal). All of the money that we raise with this fundraising page will be going to help Victoria Sia’s mission.

Here is a direct speech from Victoria:

My name is Victoria, I lived and worked in Mariupol at the university, and at the same time, I was engaged in the protection and rescue of homeless animals. Here is the page on Facebook where you can learn more about my animal rescue:

But the war began, for almost three weeks the animals hid in the basement, without electricity and water, my house was smashed and I fled from the bombing as far as possible. I took with me the cats that were with me in Mariupol and along the way I placed some in good families. My husband and our pets from the main shelter stayed there in the occupied territory and still take care of them. We keep 7 dogs and 35 cats. I had to go to Ireland, away from the horror that I suffered. Now our main task is to save our pets and bring them here. We have already done a lot of work, in Ireland, we have found animal rights activists who will help with the temporary placement of live animals and their maintenance here on the spot. We have been looking for a way to take our shelter out for a long time, and now there are options for bringing pets here. But the main problem is moving. Everything costs a lot. The amounts announced are very large, for us, it is not realistic. I beg you, if you have the opportunity and desire to save our little family members, please help us organize the relocation of our fluffies. Maybe you have the opportunity to transport them. We need help to save their lives.

We are grateful for any help. Our pets love us unconditionally, wait at the door while we are away, and bring us joy every day. They also rely on us for food, shelter, and security. In terrible times like war, when so many people are suffering and in need of help, pets are often forgotten. Pets in our shelters are our family and we cannot leave them. They are now suffering greatly from the bombings, some have heart failure and strokes. It's unbearable to watch. Please help us save beloved pets we are responsible for. They already got through life when they were abandoned by their owners. All of our pets have very complicated fates. Please help us reunite our family and our shelter pets in a safe place.
I will provide all the reports and of course a photo of our move.

Thank you very much and God bless you for your kind heart and for helping homeless animals.
With hope and gratitude,
Victoria
