Help to repatriate our mum to rest in Spain

Hi, my name is Sandra and I'm opening this account on behalf of myself and my 4 siblings to raise funds to repatriate our loving mother to Spain where we are from.

Our mother Consuelo Montaner Navarro was a great woman, she had a very difficult life but was very strong. She was a devote Catholic, witty, extremely intelligent, sweet and kind hearted with a cheeky humour. Very compassionate and giving, she never put herself first and gave her all to her children. She never judge anyone for their appearance or background, always willing to help or befriend anyone.

Consuelo was a great mother and yaya (grandma in Valencian). We are extremely lucky to have had her as our mother.

She was very brave and with all our support she came to live in the UK 8 years ago. She was a devoted mother who lived her life for her children, so when most of us left Spain she dreamed of being close to us again. She didn't mind that she could not communicate with almost anyone as didn't speak English, but wanted to be close to us because how much she loved us.

Sadly she had a liver condition that meant during the pandemic she had to shield for months which made her less mobile and more precautious of the outside world. However she would still push herself to do things but slowly her health was not as good.

In the last couple of months she had a fall which left her bed ridden, this sadly led to her hospitalisation at the beginning of June, for 18 days she suffered a lot but fought to stay with us but she was too sick and quickly on the 24/06 she passed away.

Her loss is devastating to us. Her wishes were to be buried in Spain next to her loving mother. However my family cannot afford to repatriate her and any help you can give we will be forever grateful, we are sure if you ever met her she touched your life one way or another. If you didn't we are sure you would have loved her.

To our mum, gone to heaven but never forgotten. We love you so much and we miss you mama bonita.

Mi nombre es Sandra, y he abierto esta cuenta a nombre mía y de mis 4 hermanos/as para recaudar dinero para pagar por la repatriación de nuestra amada madre a España de donde somos todos.

Nuestra madre Consuelo Montaner Navarro era una gran mujer, tuvo una vida muy difícil pero siempre fue muy fuerte. Era una fiel católica, ingeniosa, resuelta, extremadamente inteligente, dulce y de corazón noble con un humor pícaro.

Muy compasiva y generosa, nunca se puso primero y lo dio todo por sus hijos. Nunca juzgo a nadie por su apariencia o pasado y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar y hacerse amiga de cualquiera.

Era tan valiente que con nuestro apoyo vino a vivir al Reino Unido hace 8 años. Era una madre tan devota que vivió su vida para sus hijos, así que cuando la mayoría de nosotros dejo España ella sono con vivir de nuevo cerca, no le importo que no hablaba el idioma o que no conocía a nadie más solo quería estar cerca de sus amados hijos.

Tristemente tenía una condición en el hígado que significo que durante la pandemia tuvo que vivir encerrada en casa durante meses, eso significo que se convirtiera más sedentaria y precavida del mundo exterior.

Igualmente ella se empujó para hacer cosas y ver a sus hijos y su nieto Ulises de dos años.

En los últimos meses sufrió una caída que significo estar en la cama día y noche y consecuentemente a su hospitalización al principio de Junio, por 18 días sufrió y lucho con todas sus fuerzas por seguir con nosotros pero estaba ya muy enferma y el 24/06 dejo este mundo. Su perdida es desgarrante y desoladora para nosotros.

Su deseo sería poder ser enterrada en Valencia con al lado de su amada madre. Pero mi familia no se puede permitir repatriar su cuerpo, si pudieras ayudar te estaríamos eternamente agradecidos. Estamos seguros de que si la conociste le tomaste cariño enseguida y si no la conociste sabemos que te caería bien.

A nuestra mamá, se ha ido al cielo con Dios y la Virgen María, te queremos muchísimo, nunca te olvidaremos y siempre te echaremos de menos.
