Help to Relieve Bui's Medical Burden

My name is Moran and I am raising funds to help my partner, Bui, get back on their feet after experiencing a period of unprecedented hardship.

Bui was diagnosed with endometrial cancer the same month they found out their mother was diagnosed with liver cancer. In the same week, their mother tragically passed. They entered this period of grief while they battled their own cancer. Their diagnosis forced Bui to take months off of work and undergo multiple surgeries. Luckily, in May, Bui learned that they are in remission. This of course does not mean the recovery and doctors appointments are over, but we are grateful to be 'in the clear' for now.

This chapter in life has brought with it an enormous financial burden. In the wake of loss and sickness, it has come time to reach out to our extended community to request support.

Bui is the best person I've ever met. To those people who have met them, knows that they are a gentle soul with a beautiful heart.

We have broken down numbers that reflect the financial cost of these circumstances:

1. Medical bills combined cost: $17,000

2. Expected future medical bills: $15,000

3. Cost of living from taking work off: $7,700

4. Travel costs from caretaking sick mother: $3,400

At this time, I want to set the goal at $20,000 just to help Bui get back on their feet so they can move on from this painful year and relieve some of this intense burden. We are both forever grateful for all the support.
