Help to provide fresh daily food for Gaza

Hi Everyone,

This is Motee Ghazali, from the Gaza Strip, but I live currently in Belgium. I’m fundraising for this campaign to make fresh food packages, My colleagues and I decided to do the following project to stand with Gaza and the people who suffer starvation at the moment:

We think of what still exists in the local market:

1. Collaborate with Salha restaurant in Gaza City and Shadi Eastern food in Rafah, they can arrange sheep animals from some people, and cook fresh meat with rice. At the moment they have no electricity or gas, so they suggested buying firewood dry and tree branches (where possible) for cooking.

2. At the moment, they are doing the same project… local people help them with a small fund.

3. Our goal is to support them financially so they can continue cooking and help the Gazans with fresh meals.

4. They are able to cook 2 times a day.

5. Each meal is 500 gr meat and 500 gr cooked rice.

6. Each meal is enough for 2 people, but because of the high demand and the number of people who can benefit.. they can make it 4-5 people for each meal. So, it means that each family will take 1 or 2 bags (depending on the number of the family).

7. We need to remark that the idea is not ours, it Salha restaurant .. we are trying to help them.

Each day of cooking will cost:

- €800 meat (3 sheep)

- €240 rice

- €140 onions and other vegetables.

- €80 spice and food taste

- €180 firewood

- €120 packaging

- €130 delivery – only Gaza restaurant

€1,690 per day.

Our goal is to fund both restaurants, so they will be able to cover the total costs for 2 weeks at the very least.

Dag iedereen,

Hier Motee Ghazali, ik ben afkomstig van de Gazastrook maar woon momenteel in België. Mijn collega’s en ik fundraisen voor volgende campagne, om de mensen in Gaza die momenteel honger lijden te helpen door het voorzien van voedselpakketten.

We gaan uit van wat momenteel nog lokaal beschikbaar is en werken daarvoor samen met Salha restaurant in Gaza stad en Shadi Eastern food in Rafah. Beide restaurants kunnen aan schapen geraken om zo rijst met vlees te maken. Omdat er momenteel geen elektriciteit of gas is, stelden ze voor om brandhout en takken (waar mogelijk) te kopen om te kunnen koken.

Salha restaurant een Shadi Eastern food hebben dit project momenteel opgezet met beperkte financiële steun van een aantal lokale mensen. We zouden hen graag kunnen helpen, zodat ze verder verse maaltijden kunnen voorzien de mensen van Gaza die in grote nood verkeren.

De concrete aanpak is als volgt:

- Men kan twee keer dag koken

- Elke maaltijd bestaat uit 500 gram vlees en 500 gram gekookte rijst

- Normaal is zo’n maaltijd voor twee personen, maar omwille van de grote nood voorzien we dat deze maaltijd gedeeld wordt door vier à vijf mensen. Dit betekent dat elk gezin, afhankelijk van de grootte ervan, één à twee pakketten krijgt

De kost van één dag koken bedraagt

- € 800 aan vlees (drie schapen)

- €240 rijst

- €140 ajuinen en andere groenten

- €80 kruiden

- €180 brandhout

- €120 verpakking van het voedsel

- €130 bezorgkosten (enkel Gaza restaurant, Shadi Eastern food)

Dit komt neer op 1,690 euro per dag.

Ons doel is aan funding te geraken om ten minste twee weken voedsel te voorzien.

We willen graag benadrukken dat dit niet ons idee is, maar dat de actie opgezet wordt door Salha restaurant en we hen proberen helpen. Laten we hopen dat ze veilig blijven wanneer ze rondgaan om deze maaltijden te bedelen.

Je m'appelle Motee Ghazali et je suis originaire de la bande de Gaza, mais je vis actuellement en Belgique. Mes collègues et moi avons décidé de réaliser le projet suivant afin d'aider les habitants de Gaza qui souffrent de la famine en ce moment.

Nous pensons à ce qui existe encore sur le marché local et travaillons pour cela avec le restaurant Salha dans la ville de Gaza et Shadi Eastern food à Rafah. Ces deux restaurants peuvent obtenir des moutons pour cuisiner du riz avec de la viande fraîche. Comme il n'y a actuellement ni électricité ni gaz, ils suggèrent d'acheter du bois de chauffage et des branches (dans la mesure du possible) pour la cuisine.

Les restaurants Salha a Shadi Eastern food ont actuellement mis en place ce projet avec un soutien financier limité de la part de certains habitants de la région. Nous aimerions pouvoir les aider afin qu'ils puissent continuer à fournir des repas frais aux habitants de Gaza qui en ont cruellement besoin.

L'approche est la suivante :

- On peut cuisiner deux fois par jour

- Chaque repas se compose de 500 grammes de viande et de 500 grammes de riz cuit

- Normalement, un tel repas est destiné à deux personnes, mais en raison de l'ampleur des besoins, nous prévoyons que ce repas sera partagé par quatre ou cinq personnes. Cela signifie que chaque famille, selon sa taille, reçoit un ou deux paquets.

Le coût d'une journée de cuisine est

- 800 € de viande (trois moutons)

- 240 € de riz

- 140 € d'oignons et d’autres légumes

- 80 € d'épices

- 180 € de bois de chauffage

- 120 € pour l'emballage

- 130 € de frais de livraison (restaurant de Gaza uniquement)

Le total s'élève à 1 690 €.

Nous tenons à souligner que ce n'est pas notre idée, mais que l'action est organisée par le restaurant Salha et que nous essayons de les aider. Espérons qu'ils resteront en sécurité lorsqu'ils iront mendier ces repas.
