Help to pay for my partners funeral
Hi my name is Jackie..
My darling partner Paul was diagnosed with cancer 12 weeks ago, and was undergoing chemotherapy every 2 weeks, and was doing really well, the Dr's were really pleased with his progress..
He was on disability and I was his full-time carer...
We were in the process of doing our garden to make it nice and safe for our 3 beautiful children, and had brought all new fencing,
On Saturday 10th July we were talking about what we were going to be doing in the garden in the upcoming week,
However on Sunday 11th July, Paul got up needing to go to the toilet, nothing out of the ordinary, when he came back down he was sweating profusely, so I took his temperature, which was 32 degrees C, so I tried to warm him up, by this time he had started to vomit blood and was in excruciating pain, so I called for an ambulance, after numerous tests and examinations he was diagnosed with a perforated bowel, and was taken to surgery, I was told that it would be a miracle if he survived that..... Well a miracle happened and he did...
On Monday 12th July our children and I went to visit him in ICU, which was pretty traumatic for our children seeing him on a ventilator and connected to all the machines, we went home and I set about comforting our children.... 3 hours later at 5:30pm a Dr called me to say that they were going to be stopping all treatment for him, and would be letting him go and that we should get to the hospital as soon as we could...
Our darling Paul passed away peacefully @10:45pm with us by his bedside...
With him being on disability and myself as his full-time carer, neither one of us were in employment and have no savings,
my thoughts turned to his funeral, and how I'm going to pay for it, my local council have said that they could do what they referred to, as a paupers funeral and that we would not be able to attend, we'll understandably I cannot and will not allow that to happen, our children need to be there in order to say goodbye and to get some sort of closure..
So please if you can help in any way, no matter how small my children and I would be eternally grateful..
Thank you...
