My name is Luz Hernandez, and I am raising money for my aunt Cordelia Aguilera, who was diagnosed with covid-19 last week. My aunt is dedicated and a hard worker.
When I was twelve years old, I was misdiagnosed with Lupus, and she was the only person that took care of me while I was in the hospital for more than a year. While I was in the hospital, I lost all hope. I didn’t want to live anymore, but my aunt dedicated her time to inspire me to continue fighting for my life. She taught me never to give up, always to be strong, and to have hope.
Today, she is hospitalized in a clinic in Honduras, with the doctors telling us that there is not much that they can do to help her. My aunt got covid-19 last week; her health is getting worse every day. She has been on oxygen all this time; her lungs are damaged. My family back home has told me to get ready for the worst, but I know my aunt is strong, and she will be able to recover; I have hope. I created this Go Fund Me page because we want to transfer her to a better hospital to receive the proper treatment. In Honduras, the covid-19 cases arise every day, hospitals are in their full capacity, and there are no more beds available. People with covid-19 are literary dying in the stress outside of public hospitals. We had found a private hospital but just for the admission is a lot of money. We need some financial assistance as soon as possible. If you would like to assist with our financial burden, any donation would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to my aunt’s medical cost.
On behalf of my entire family, I appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers, and support.
