Help to Mackenzie to brain treatment

Hello, thank you all for taking the time to read the story of my daughter, Mackenzie Figuera.

Our daughter, Mackenzie, is 4 years old. Since she was born, she has undergone many surgical procedures due to severe ear infections. For more than 3 occasions during these procedures, doctors had to place ventilation tubes in her ears. These procedures have caused damage to her eardrums which have affected her sensitivity to sounds. In addition, Mackenzie's brain is not responding correctly due to her brain waves not connecting with the front part of her brain. This has made it impossible for her to communicate and express what she is thinking or feeling.

After many studies carried out on Mackenzie, doctors are confident that my daughter needs a transcranial stimulation treatment to stimulate her brain waves through a machine that sends frequency to the affected area of her brain and thus be able to respond and connect with the other areas of her brain.

My daughter is a very sweet, affectionate and happy girl. Often, she gets frustrated and cries because she wants to express what she feels but she cannot. As parents, this has been so difficult to navigate, we want the world for our daughter. Doctors tell us that at the age of 4, this is the ideal time for Mackenzie to undergo this treatment in order for it to be a success since her brain is full of neuroplasticity.

The costs of this type of treatment are not covered by our medical insurance and we currently do not have any type of financial aid to cover the treatment. Therefore, we come to all of you with great faith, hope and humility that you can help Mackenzie on her journey to be able to speak and fulfill all her dreams. This treatment is the only alternative that doctors have given us. We ask you with all our hearts to give us a hand in this trying time that my daughter is going through.
