My name is Andrea Moore and I am reaching out to our friends and family to tell you that my sister-in-love, Dwayne's beautiful sister, Janice Lynn "Linda-Bird" Moore, went home to be with her Savior last night after a long hard battle with COVID. Janice was the epitome of God's hands and feet. Not only did she raise her brother Dwayne from the age of 11, but she took in, nurtured, loved and raised dozens of foster kids. She devoted her life to building into the lives of children. Sadly, she left behind 2 young boys whom she has been raising since birth, as well as an adult foster daughter who relies on Janice for full-time care. Unfortunately, we have discovered many additional expenses that Janice has left unresolved and we are doing our best to keep the house running and make this transition as easy as possible for the kids. We are working with local agencies to keep the kids with our family and to continue to provide the same nurturing and loving home that Janice has given them all these years.
