Help to keep Lina Alive

Hello Everyone,
I am writing this as I am sitting in the waiting room of Guardian Veterinary Specialists in Brewster NY (in tears).
Lina and I have been together since she was 10 weeks old. Little do people know, Lina picked me when I went to meet the puppies. I was set on a blue female but she kept nibbling at my ankles and going into the bag as I pushed her away and went to the other puppies. This continued for a while, I finally picked her up and looked at my mom and said "I guess this is my dog". She has been attached to my hip ever since. The past 9.5 years she has been my constant and we have been SOOO much together. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Lina even detected I was having appendicitis hours before I even had any symptoms!! She is the best behaved dog when she needs to be. Anyone that knows me, knows about Lina (and my other animals) and I would be anything for them.
Lina needs all the help she can get RIGHT NOW.
Lina has been in and out of the vet suffering from her intestines flipping and wrapping around the mesenteric root which is cutting off the blood supply to her small intestines (also known as a mesenteric torsion). February 2024 Lina began showing signs of being sick, throwing up, loss of appetite and watery diarrhea. Rushed her to the Emergency vet and they had to do emergency exploratory surgery. She was experiencing a mesenteric torsion, the surgeon said it was 270 degrees twisted. He corrected it and she was sent home a week later and recovered well! It was noted that Linas motility was slow and she was placed on medication to assist with that.
NOW April 2024-Lina is back at the emergency vet suffering from a Colonic torsion resulting in having emergency surgery. The surgeon removed her colon, about 2 feet of her small intestine, and sections of her mesentery walls. He stapled it all in place. Lina was recovering well and up until this morning. She was not showing interest in food and became very weak. She would walk 10 feet and then lay down. Ultrasounds show that she has built up fluid and is septic. She is requiring another emergency surgery to locate where the fluid is leaking from and for it to be corrected.
Anyone that knows me, knows that I am very independent and have a hard time asking for any help. I need help with Lina’s vet bills at this time. The Vet bills are nearing $40,000.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I would do my best to pay it forward to the next family/pet in need.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
