Help to give Toffa the best send off!

A note from Taidghe 

Hi all, Thank you so much to everyone who donated, it is a huge weight off mine and my mums shoulders that we don't have to worry about finances as well as everything else that comes with saying goodbye to my dad. My mum and I appreciate it so much, it means so much to be supported and loved by you all and to feel the love you all have for Toffa.

Sadly on the 12/02/2021 Toffa passed away peacefully at home in comfort and pain free with
Taidghe & Jo by his side. 

Toffa, our wonderful, talented, funny, kind, eccentric Irish friend was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2019 and was given a prognosis of 1 year. True to form Toffa proved that wrong and has outlived that timeline despite the odds!

Sadly Toffa's condition has rapidly worsened in the last few weeks and it is now a case of keeping him comfortable and peaceful. Taidghe (his son) & Jo (his ex-partner) have been caring for Toffa for the last 18 months at a great personal sacrifice and financial cost to them both.

The impact of COVID-19 and Toffa's condition has meant very little of his large friendship group have been able to visit him and create some meaningful memories, unfortunately with his condition deteriorating at a rapid rate, many won't have this opportunity now. 

We are hoping to ease the financial burden of Toffa's funeral costs with this fundraiser for Taidghe & Jo as during the pandemic, as for all of us, finances are very stretched.  

If you can donate any amount, however small it will be gratefully received to help ease the stress & financial pressure of a funeral at a time when it will be a struggle for his own small family whilst mourning his loss.
