Help to give Gina a respectful funeral

As many of you are aware Gina Fitzgerald passed away suddenly in the early hours of Thursday 2nd December. She was a muched loved member of this lovely little community and we all feel her loss deeply.

We are pleading for help for a very vulnerable family who lost their mother and grandmother very suddenly. Her heart stopped while she was sleeping next to her grandson snuggled close to her that night. The housing association have taken a long time to fix the boiler (still haven’t repaired it) so the house was very cold. This happened the night it snowed last week. After the understandable trauma for Connor (7yrs) finding his nan unresponsive we are doing what we can to support the family. Gina was the glue of the family who dedicated her life to her daughter who has learning disabilities and her grandson Connor who has autism and other additional needs. Gina looked after bills and other finances.

Without Gina, Laura can’t handle bills, rent and basic essentials. Since the traumatic event of her grandson finding her sadly passed away, we are still in the process of arranging financial support through benefits etc. Laura currently has no id to set up a bank account, no bank account means no income. Neighbours and family are helping where possible. Arranging a funeral at anytime is hard enough but with it being so close to Christmas, it just makes money all that bit tighter.

We are asking that anyone who can help by donating to give Gina a respectable funeral (as little or as much as you can), even though she would tell us to stick her in the ground and have a party. Gina was respected and loved massively in the community, too much for us not to be able to pay our respects in a simple cremation and in dignified way.
