Help to give Dan the treatment he needs urgently

7th July my Brother and his partners world got turned upside down, while daniel was struggling immensly with agonising pain, nausea, hot sweats, unable to eat or keep down anything, so short of breath, severe pelvic pain and fatigue and then

A scan was performed because he was showing signs of appendicitis and he then had a CT scan because he previously had a gastric sleeve, the hospital found multiple tumours, 1 on the appendix and 2 on the liver, which caused his appendix to become inflamed and rupture causing sepsis making him so unwell. Daniel was put on intravenous antibiotics and surgeons were apprehensive about removing the appendix as they did not know what kind of tumour it was, but then he had to wait for a specialist in Basingstoke 2.5hrs drive away, as there is only 7 specialists that can do the surgery in this country, unfortunately NONE at our local hospitals, on the way home from their appointment at Basingstoke on 3rd August when they were told the tumours were likely cancerous, his partner went into labour on the motorway!!!! Teddy's pregnancy was not very straight forward, and was absolutely full of anxiety on top, baby teddy had an infection when he was born and had a little stay in the baby unit, all while his daddy was sick, and because of that, Daniel didn't get to see Teddy Often

Daniel ended up needing Surgery called Cytoreductive Surgery that was 10hrs long on the day his baby boy was meant to he due, daniel also needed a HIPEC chemo wash. During surgery they managed to remove his appendix tumors but sadly they found more, they also removed part of his colon and bowel, all while his little baby boy was newborn. A month after surgery we were told the tumours were called NET CANCER, on the 29th of August they were then told that Basingstoke were discharging him and referring him to Guildford for treatment for the tumours on the liver, Daniel & his partner never ended up hearing anything back and it's been months.

Surprisingly, the doctors weren't too worried about the liver tumors because they were small, however the Surgeon at Basingstoke was confident that daniel would recieve treatment at a later date, he was told that he was supposedly referred for chemotherapy about 3 week post surgery but he hasn't heard anything months later and being in agony again really struggling while trying to be a new dad and trying to support Amy as much as possible being a new first time mum who was worried about both her son and partner she loves dearly, she was travelling 2.5hours every single day from Brighton to Basingstoke, with their newborn baby, having to spend lots of money on fuel to get there, food for the journey and had to travel home some days taking up to 4 hours on the motorway, none of them being able to spend any quality time with their new baby boy, and we know how overwhelming having a newborn is, how much is someone supposed to be able to cope with? Yet still, they continued to battle on together.

Daniel ended up having to go to the Royal Sussex County Hospital on the 8th November 2023, where they performed more CT scans and blood tests to check for blood clots, luckily he didn't have any blood clots on top of the cancer, they then sent the results to Basingstoke where he had his 10hr surgery, to see if the cancer has spread at all.

Devestatingly the cancer they said was so small and nothing to worry about in his liver HAS taken over his liver completely, in the space of just 3 months after trying not to worry about it like he was told not to, everybody is absolutely heartbroken, thats even an understatement.

Daniel has been referred for 6 rounds of chemotherapy, and at best that may only prolong his life just by one year, that isnt enough time for such an amazing beautiful caring loving family man, brother, son, uncle, friend and partner.
Chemotherapy will be intravenous and in tablet form, and that's only if his body is strong enough for the Chemo. He is really struggling to maintain weight and gets repeated infections so we are just hoping for the best possible outcome.

On 2nd November 2023 Daniel attended hospital for an Endoscopy and 8 biopsies were taken because cancer cells were also found in the Gullet, which they're also awaiting results.

The type of Cancer Daniel has is called NET CANCER which is Neuroendocrine Cancer, it is a very rare form of Cancer and the survival rates are only high with surgery which the NHS haven't offered him sadly.

Hearing this news has absolutely destroyed our family, Daniels children and loved ones, he is the light of our family, he brings everyone together and makes everyone smile, because of financial difficulties due to being so unwell and them having a newborn baby, the impact this is having on them is so heartbreaking.

The target for this gofundme is to raise funds for the treatment which ranges between 40-70k, help with travel costs, maybe bills to take the stress off of him and Amy while trying to enjoy their newborn baby boy, and to try and prolong Daniels life as much as possible, 1 year is not enough time to spend with this amazing human being.

So please even if you can't donate, sharing far and wide will help tremendously, please help us fight against Cancer.
