Help to get to UVA

Hello everyone, my name is Elizabeth and I am fundraising for my grandmother, Teresa Waddle.

As some of you may or may not know, my grandmother was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver 2 years ago. Since February of 2022, she has been in and out of the hospital numerous times over the condition of her cirrhosis getting progressively worse. Now, her G.I. doctor has gotten her an appointment at University of Virginia on April 26th and 27th, to have further testing done that he cannot do to see what the next steps are as far as how bad her cirrhosis is and maybe the possibility of a liver transplant.

My grandfather has missed numerous days of work because of her being in and out of the hospital and having to travel back and forth to different doctor appointments. And now a days, when you have to misss work because of things like this, the bills keep piling up and life goes on.

I started this fundraiser because it is so near and dear to my heart, to try and help my grandma get to UVA to see what the further treatment can be to help her out. Her health has declined drastically since February and I have watched it before my eyes and I know, that she needs to get to UVA to see if they can figure out something different to do to help her out because it hurts my heart to watch her go from being healthy and fine to not being healthy or being able to do anything by herself.

This fundraiser money will go towards gas, hotel stays, food while my grandmother is at UVA.

So we are asking, with all this being said, if you could help us in fundraising some money to get her to UVA to get these appointments underway, would as a family, and I know my grandma , would appreciate it from the bottoms of our hearts.

Any amount of donation isn't to little, if you can give, we will be forever grateful but if you can't give, please share so we can continue to get this shared as far as we can.
