Support for the Horseball World Cup in Argentina 2025

Hi, my name is D’arcy Wright, I am a 17 year old girl currently trying to juggle Team GB level of Horseball, A-levels, a part-time job to pay for this extremely expensive sport, numerous hours of training and revision and somewhat of a social life.

As a young child I had a dream to represent my country on the international scene and after having been told I’d never make it to ‘with my current ponies‘ ( apparently they were to cheap for HOYS -horse of the year show- standards) i felt pretty defeated... well, instead i turned to Horseball, which offered me the chance to compete for Team Great Britain internationally on numerous occasions completing my dreams as a child and proving many wrong, and I have been given a chance to do it once again, and I couldn't be more humbled by it...

Horseball is an incredibly involved fast paced game not yet that widely known in the United Kingdom.

"If basketball and rugby had a child, and that child was on a horse, than that is Horseball"

The Great Britain Team is due to head to the World Cup in Argentina in March 2025 and with that comes extreme expenses.

People that know me well know that I don't ask for help, I prefer to make it myself and felt that I earnt it. But at just 17 and only earning minimum wage at my part-time job, I am finding it very hard not to rely on my parents, which is something I would no longer like to do as i feel it is my decision, not theirs...

On this occasion, I know that this opportunity is once in a lifetime and unlikely to be offered to me again so I am asking for assistance from my friends, family and supporters to help me make this dream a reality.
