Help to get our dad home to recover from attack

Hi, our names are Cara and Cian. We are setting this go fund me up to seek financial support as our dad, Dermot, has been a victim of an attack in turkey where he was pushed from a height on 01/10/2023. As a result he has been hospitalised in turkey with a bleed on the brain in an induced coma.

The extents of our dads brain injury can not yet be determined. We hope to get our dad home to Dublin where he will be in ICU. The estimate for medical repatriation (to fly him him home) is upwards from €55,000. This includes no other medical bills we will no doubt encounter.

In the case we get him home to recover here in Ireland we are anticipating thousands in medical bills such as his stay in ICU, his time in rehabilitation and medical home equipment to adapt our home to his needs.

We appreciate any donation to help us through this time and get our dad home to us and allow him to recover surrounded by his family and friends who love him dearly. Any surplus in funds we may raise that are not needed will be donated to a charity by us.
