Just over a week ago I suffered a small subarachnoid haemorrhage (bleed to the brain) Thankfully I didn’t need surgery.  I later had a stroke. It’s left me with significantly reduced movement on my left side. I’m desperate to get home. Currently I am unable to walk independently. One thing that would really help with my independence is a electric wheelchair to hire.  I currently live alone and I’m unable to push myself in a manual chair. The cost of hire is really expensive. The deposit alone is around £500. Hire costs vary from £60-£100 a week.  I would hope that this will only be a short term measure around 12 weeks.  While I work on my physio. I have been told due to covid there is a significant backlog for physio and the normal services are very stretched. Therefore any money left over will be used to help with physio/ neuro physio is around £75 a session . I know COVID has impacted lots of people financially so please don’t feel pressured.
