From Karen (A friend):
Just about a year ago Jeanna got the call that everyone dreads- it's breast cancer. Stage 3. It's devastating news for anyone to hear. It's especially tough for a newly single Mom of 4 girls. She's faced chemo, along with all of the side effects, a mastectomy, and daily drives to Rochester to receive radiation treatments. Now she's dealing with the after effects of all of this treatment including lymphedema, and neuropathy which causes pain, and numbness in her hands, and feet.
She's survived through all of this with seemingly endless positivity, courage, faith, and immense love for her family, friends, and community. Jeanna has been a dedicated volunteer for the South Seneca PTSA, the United Way's Women's Leadership council, and the Seneca County Literacy Board along with being a great friend, and always the first to offer help.
At the time of her diagnosis Jeanna worked full time- she had to stop pursuing employment in order to keep up with the endless appointments, and recovery.
Temporary disability has picked up some of the slack, but the bills are endless. Cancer treatment, gas, tolls, rent, car payments, and raising the two kids she still has at home really add up.
Any support you can give is a huge help, and means so much to Jeanna and her girls.
Thank you - Karen

From Jeanna, herself:
I have been a single mom of 4 girls for just over a year now. I have been out of work since March of 2019.
I have learned that it is okay to ask for help.
I have medical bills, a car loan (as I needed a car to get to treatment and meet the needs of my children) and we need to get a house of our own - as renting is simply too expensive.
I have undergone 2 rounds of chemotherapy, a mastectomy, and radiation therapy. I now have neuropathy (nerve damage) in my hands and feet, hair growing back slowly and lymphedema.
I begin therapy for the lymphedema next week and the next round of chemotherapy in late January.
I am asking for help to pay the past due medical bills, car loan and get us closer to a house of our own.
Thank you for your compassion, kindness and generosity.
I promise to work towards paying it forward as I fight this cancer and work towards remission.
Thank you -Jeanna
