I am Kayla Frawley and I have struggled with severe PTSD and untreatable depression my whole life. In December 2024, I had a bad PTSD episode that made my provider finally recommend a PTSD (and severe depression) proven treatment called TMS. I wasn’t able to get time off to go to appointments till February 2025 so I started them later then needed. Treatment is in daily 20-minute appointments through Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) - a non-invasive brain stimulation therapy that uses magnetic pulses to target and stimulate specific areas of the brain - and it is for treatment-resistant PTSD, which I have. I am lucky to have accessed it as I know many people cannot access this kind of medication.

I started treatments in February and I end them April 2nd. I have seen incredible prognosis for this treatment and I know it is working, but my health insurance cuts out March 31st and I cannot finish my treatment as my single-income household is uninsured and cash poor at the moment. I am waiting on Medicaid approval, but I will not be able to complete my treatments without paying out of pocket, and I desperately need to complete them for my health and for my family.
