My name is Christina and since early July, I’ve been on a difficult and confusing medical journey. I started having concerning symptoms that no doctor could clearly explain. I saw multiple providers, and in mid-July, I ended up in the ER, where I was diagnosed with Lyme disease.

I began a tough round of medication, hoping it would bring relief—but the symptoms never went away. After more appointments and tests, another doctor recently diagnosed me with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), a condition that affects my heart rate, blood pressure, and overall daily functioning. I have a heart monitor on in hopes that after a few weeks of wearing it, we may get some useful information. They now believe Lyme was a misdiagnosis, and we’re still trying to figure out what’s causing the POTS.

On top of the emotional and physical toll, the financial burden has been overwhelming. I have missed a lot of work and my husband Austin has had to take time off work to drive me to appointments. With the rising cost of living, his income alone just isn’t enough to keep up with the piles of medical bills, testing, and everyday expenses.

We’re doing everything we can to get answers and find the right treatment, but we need help. If you’re able to donate or share this with others, it would mean the absolute world to us. Every little bit brings us closer to healing.
