Help to feed & rescue animals at Bukenya Shelter

Hello

My name Weston. I run a small shelter in the rural area of Uganda called Mityana District.

Ever since I was a young boy, I have been passionate about animals especially dogs. I would always pick them up from the road, take them home and nurse them back to health. I promised myself as I child I would dedicate life to protect and care for stray dogs.

Fortunately today at the age of 20 I currently have 16 dogs that I take care of by myself at my home.

One of our dogs Julie was rescued by me when someone set her on fire. She had deep burns on her body, I have managed to get her medical care and rehabilitation. Today she is almost recovered,by her kisses and wagging tail you would never know that, that is her story.

Whilst I have managed to rescue the dogs,I have had a lot of challenges such as giving them their basic needs which is food and water, on a day to day basis.This is why i have created this account to ask for help from generous people around the world who have a heart for animals

In between working part time to provide for my family I take care of the dogs with my own funds and a very small portion from funds from supporters once in a while I’m currently a one man show are desperate to bring more awareness the our rescue home so that we are able to get some donations for our Sweet babies
