Life is harder for some. Because cycles repeat ... I need to request your help for donations again. When I volunteered for CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates, for 6.5 years starting in 2009 when he was 13, I didn’t imagine my estimated 1-2 year volunteer assignment would end up still being an ongoing relationship that would still require so much assistance in 2025.

Kids with this background often have difficulty in adulthood after aging out of the system. He is again between jobs and experiencing instability.

The cycle happens, looking for employment yet lacking funds to cover transportation, and he really needs to just be able to eat and pay for his phone.

I have continued to help him with some monthly expenses, and have had some other items to help him with, yet I am limited in what I can do all at once and in an ongoing capacity. If you have it in your heart to pitch in and help this challenged young man out of his bad circumstances, we would be so grateful. $5, $10, $20 ... whatever your budget allows would be appreciated.

I really just want to make sure he can have ongoing transportation and access to food to create more stability as he funds work.

He’s a good kid (I still think of him that way) with bad luck that continues to derail him.

If you know of any dishwasher jobs in restaurants or senior living facilities, or any groundskeeper positions in multifamily, please let me know. Or if you know of anyone who may have a room available in exchange for chores or assistance (he can’t pay rent right now), that would be amazing.
