Help to elect socialist-feminist fighter, Ruth Coppinger!

Ruth Coppinger is a real fighter for workers, women and all who face discrimination. As a TD from 2014-2020 she used her position to assist working-class people get organised in movements for change.

Ruth was the first TD to introduce a Repeal Bill and played a leading role in the winning of abortion rights, a genuine voice of the grassroots movement and a thorn in the side of the backwards political establishment.

As a founding member of ROSA - Socialist Feminist Movement she organised radical direct actions, like bus4repeal, and continues to tirelessly fight against gender violence.

She has organised countless campaigns: defending Connolly Hospital A&E; occupying vacant housing with homeless women to highlight the housing crisis; a key organiser against water charges and anti-racism to name a few.

Ruth is anti-imperialist and anti-racist. An active participant in the global Palestine solidarity movement, alongside local activists she initiated the D15 Stand Against Gaza Genocide campaign. With over 100 members, the group organises regular actions in Blanchardstown.

We need Ruth back as an elected representative!

She is now standing in the local elections in the Castleknock ward of Fingal County Council (People Before Profit – Solidarity candidate). Ruth is a teacher, a member of ASTI and a member of the Socialist Party.

None of the main political parties represent ordinary people. Ruth’s election campaign is about building a new broad movement for all and for socialist change.

Help get Ruth elected! We rely on donations from ordinary people as we compete with the big parties and their well financed election machines.

But this is no ordinary election. Ruth’s campaign has also recently been targeted by the far-right who defaced an election poster with Nazi symbols. This is no accident. They are hellbent on pushing back the feminist, anti-racist and progressive movements which Ruth has built and represented.
