Support Andrea Fazekas' Memorial Fund

My name is Peter Fazekas, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help in giving my mother, Andrea Fazekas, the burial she deserves.

My mom passed away suddenly on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was only 55 years old. She was a fighter, a survivor, and a woman who gave everything she had to her family. At just 16, she gave birth to me and my twin brother. At 19, she left everything she knew behind in Budapest, Hungary, and brought us to America with my father—without knowing a word of English. She learned the language, became a U.S. citizen, and worked tirelessly to build a life for us.

Now, of the four of us, only my brother and I remain. My brother has been unable to work for the past five years, and I’m doing my best to support my own family while trying to find a way to honor our mother with a proper burial. We don’t have the means, but we have the will—and we’re asking for your help.

My relationship with my mom was complicated, and we didn’t get the chance to work through everything before she passed. But I loved her deeply, and I want to give her the dignity and appreciation she earned through a lifetime of sacrifice and strength.
