Hey, everyone, first thing I need to tell you, is that Ashley has the worst luck, so bad, in fact, that it actually became something of a running joke to everyone she knows. Food and drink orders were always getting messed up (almost everytime we went out to eat), she's had to move away from almost every friend she has ever had (military family), and just a bunch of other miscellaneous things that don't quite happen to everybody on a regular basis. And, like I said, these types of things were laughed about and not taken very seriously because, well, they're small issues that we can live with. But, something has grown into her life that she cannot live with: cancer. The cancer is called Pleomorphic Liposarcoma, a very rare type of cancer on which there isn't much research (Ashley's luck) This malignant tumor has been growing on her hip for about three years before Ashley has been able to get any help for it. Now at the size of a grapefruit, the tumor is finally going to be treated. You might be a little incredulous and ask why she waited untill now to go to the hospital, but the fact is, she's been trying to get treated for the growth on her hip since the pain and inflamation started! All the doctors didn't know what it was and told her to make an appointment for a different type of specialist, or misdiagnosed her entirely. Now the tumor is quite advanced but, luckily, has not spread anywhere else in her body.

The treatment will be about a year's worth of chemotherapy, the tumor being surgically removed about halfway through.
