My name is Amiee and I am 37 years old.

At the age of 30 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Primary Peritoneal Cancer in April 2018. In that same year my mum also got diagnosed with cancer and died 6 months later at the age of 62.

The first treatment I had was chemotherapy, and unfortunately this didn’t work and my cancer continued to grow. The next treatment I received was debulking surgery in April 2019 to remove as much of the cancer as possible. That meant I had to have part of my bowel removed too, and I also had to have a full hysterectomy taking my chance of becoming a mother away.

After that, the cancer that was left had been stable for the last 3 and a half years until I found out that it had grown again in April 2024. I spent the rest of 2024 having chemotherapy which I finished in January 2025 (it well and truly kicked my ass!). Only to be told that again it didn’t work and my cancer had grown.

In August this year I was advised that my cancer has spread into my stomach, and fast forward to now I recently found out that the prognosis isn’t good and is estimated at 4 to 6 months. I could try a tablet but that would give me horrible side effects, and the prognosis then is still only estimated at 12 months. I’ve decided that I’m not going to take the treatment as I don’t want the last months of my life to be spent unwell. I want quality over quantity, and to enjoy the life that I have left.

With that in mind, I have decided to create this go fund me because I have a bucket list of things that I would like to do and I want to aim to complete as many as possible before my time comes. I would also like to be able to put some money towards any funeral expenses that may be needed.
