Help to celebrate the life of Christopher Slade

Hi, my name is Dorothy Slade, the wife of Chris Slade. My husband passed away on Thursday evening, November 18th. I am asking for help to pay for funeral expenses of my husband. Chris did not have life insurance, but it was not due to the lack of trying. Chris had been diagnosed years ago with congestive heart failure and due to that we were unable to purchase insurance. The family came up with as much as possible but it wasn't enough.

Chris was a great man and would do anything for anyone. He was the type who would give you the shirt off of his back, and I know that he literally has done that at least once. Was Chris perfect, no, and has been struggling with demons for awhile. But nothing, I mean nothing dimished how much he loved his family. He loved his kids, Sydney and Logan, more than life itself and treated Lane and Brianna, his step kids, as his own .

We had so many great times, along with the bad times. I grew up with him and his family and his childhood friends. He was so loved by so many people and he loved others more than he loved himself.

I really don't want to drag this out, but the short of it is I want to give him a final resting place and I want his family and friends be able to say their goodbyes.

We will be going to funeral home for final arrangements on Monday, but tentively wake will be on Tuesday night and the funeral will be Wednesday. But I will have to have everything paid before they will perform services.
