Help to buy Oxygen Equipment for India
Hi there, my name is Tina Hazarika Virmani and I am fund raising to help one of my personal friends, who is a Senior Orthopaedic Doctor working at the front line to beat Covid 19 in Chennai, India.
Dr Sandy Jacob has nearly 600 patients he is helping on a daily basis.
As most of you are aware and as stated in the news, India are having shortage of oxygen in their battle to beat Covid 19 which are resulting in high number of deaths per day.
Although India is been given oxygen supplies from around the world due to the over population and the political logistics it is not reaching the people on the ground that really are in need of medical intervention to beat the virus.
With cases showing up every day and no beds for admission, Dr Sandy Jacob wants an interim solution to purchase the listed equipment to stabilise new admissions in Chettinad Hospital, Chennai until they secure a bed as currently so many new patients are getting rejected due to the shortage of oxygen beds.
So I am helping to raise the fund to purchase the below:
- 5 high flow machine worth £3k - High flow machines back up those in ICU
- 5 Oxygen concentrators are around £750 - Concentrators bank up those in wards.
Please I would ask that you donate as much or as little as you can afford in helping me build this fund to make the difference in beating the virus in Chennai, India.
We would personally ensure the funds are used to purchase the equipment and help the patients. Pictures will also be sent to donators so you can see where your donation HAS made the difference.
