Hey as most of you know we are Pat's daughters. (Theresa, Maria & Francesca). Along with our brothers Sean & Patrick.. (We can not forget to include the 2 most important people to him which are his precious grandkids Aaliyah & Angelo) A little back story, Our father has worked locally for 40+ years as a cement finisher, he has NEVER hesitated to make sure he provided and took care of his children and his wife as well as other families in need. Our father is a loving, funny, strong, courageous badass dad and friend.  A few years ago he made the decision to retire, found out he was a diabetic and life started to change rapidly! First he went into kidney failure, shortly  after that there was loss of blood circulation which lead to a few small amputations. Over the summer as he was leaving one of his appointments he heard a small pop walking to the car, which we found out 3 months later that he had shattered his heel bone. After multiple doctors appointments near and far the end result was extremely devastating to hear! A below the knee amputation (BKA). Yes this is a shock to all of us but primarily to our mother and of course our father. Our mother (Kathy) took an early retirement to care for our father and has not left his side not for even a minute, she has been his care taker like no medical professional could! Our father is having surgery this week on 10/16/20. This is going to be one of the hardest things we go through as a family and we will will stand strong together! We are asking for donations to help build a ramp and home modifications to make it accessible for his wheelchair ( for example putting in a handicap accessible shower downstairs) as this is going to be a lifestyle change for him (them). We want the healthiest and safest return for him!  We need him home so that he can continue to be the most amazing, caring, loving husband, father and grandfather that he is!
