My name is Anna. Together with my husband and two daughters, our wonderful friends and neighbours, we have been collecting money in order to build a health centre in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We turn to you asking for help. We will be grateful for any amount of money that you will donate. Every penny counts! If you can't donate we would really appreciate if you can send the link to your friends and family and spread the word.

The quicker we collect the whole sum, the quicker the health centre will be built and more lives will be saved.

Dr Bernard K., who works at the current St. Bernard Health Centre (with one room and few beds only - see the photos below) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, turned to me for help through our close friend. We became friends with the whole health centre team and started regularly supporting their medical needs with our own money and fundraising events. We organise regular plant sales, occasionally cake sales and sell items on car boot sales and online on Vinted (here is our Vinted profile: spring-flower23). According to the valuation of the engineer of this project, all health centre construction work will cost $10,000, which is about £8,000 right now. We have already collected £3,000 from the mentioned above sales. For this money materials for the roof and walls were bought, the next step will be manufacturing windows and doors.

Dr Bernard K. appeals: “Please, help us to have a good health centre from which we can begin to benefit from treatments in good conditions. Many people are dying here due to the lack of good health centre with the right conditions. Life is very difficult in the east of our country where we live. To find the appropriate medical care is quite a problem; many people die because of this medical suffering. A big thank you for all your efforts, and we encourage you to have the strength to accomplish this project”.
