Help to bring Veronica back to health!
Hello everybody, my name is Veronica, I am 45 years old, married, and living in the UK for almost 20 years.
In 2017 my life was turned upside down I was diagnosed with NON-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, it was a 16cm tumour from my lower neck to my stomach. I had always led a very healthy and active life, I regularly exercised and was always on the move, so I was shocked to receive this news. I decided to go through conventional chemotherapy and radiotherapy, parallel to the conventional treatments, I also decided to opt for a natural treatment by the name of Gerson therapy and I believe this is what worked for me. I was in remission until 2020, in February 2020 I began to feel unwell, due to the history of my health the doctor took this more seriously and after further tests they found a tumour in my bowel. I had surgery in March, however in June I began to develop unusual pains in my pelvic and lower back area, after further testing I discovered the cancer was in metastasis. In the beginning of my journey I weighed 12 stone and I currently weigh 8stone, so this has taken a great toll on my health, not to mention my hair loss from the chemotherapy and I currently wear a colostomy bag. According to the doctor there is nothing that can be done, by this I mean there is nothing that the NHS can offer within their means. However, I know I am a fighter and I refuse to accept this diagnosis; I am and will continue to fight for my health.
After some intensive research and a strong recommendation from my naturopathic doctor I discovered a place in America that can save my life. They have facilitated my goal by providing me with an acceptance letter to enter the United States and begin my treatment.
I will go through a series of treatments that will hopefully stop the growth of the cancer.
I was reluctant to create a GoFundMe; however, this was my last resort as I have spent all my savings on private alternative treatments not funded by the NHS. As of now I have spent thousands of pounds on these treatments, this GoFundMe would give me the means to keep fighting this ongoing battle and beat cancer. I am away from my family; however, I am lucky enough to have the support of my friends and husband. I feel that I need to do everything in my power to regain my health because there is nothing greater than the feeling of wanting to live which is a feeling, I know all too well.

Em 2017, minha vida virou de cabeça para baixo, fui diagnosticado com linfoma NON-Hodgkin, era um tumor de 16 cm da parte inferior do pescoço até o estômago. Sempre tive uma vida muito saudável e ativa, fazia exercícios regularmente e estava sempre em movimento, por isso fiquei chocado ao receber esta notícia. Decidi fazer quimioterapia e radioterapia convencionais, paralelamente aos tratamentos convencionais, também decidi optar por um tratamento natural com o nome de terapia Gerson e acredito que foi isso que funcionou para mim. Fiquei em remissão até 2020, em fevereiro de 2020 comecei a me sentir mal, devido ao histórico da minha saúde o médico levou isso mais a sério e após novos exames encontraram um tumor no meu intestino. Fiz uma cirurgia em março, porém em junho comecei a desenvolver dores incomuns na região pélvica e na região lombar, depois de mais testes descobri que o câncer estava em metástase. No começo da minha jornada eu pesava 78 quilos e atualmente peso 53, então isso tem causado um grande prejuízo na minha saúde, sem falar na minha queda de cabelo por causa da quimioterapia e atualmente uso uma bolsa de colostomia. Segundo o médico, não há nada que possa ser feito, com isto quero dizer que não há nada que o NHS possa oferecer dentro das suas possibilidades. Porém, sei que sou um lutadora e me recuso a aceitar esse diagnóstico; Eu estou e continuarei lutando pela minha saúde.
Depois de muita pesquisa e uma forte recomendação de meu médico naturopata, descobri um lugar na América que pode salvar minha vida. Eles facilitaram meu objetivo, fornecendo-me uma carta de aceitação para entrar nos Estados Unidos e começar meu tratamento.
Vou passar por uma série de tratamentos que, com sorte, interromperão o crescimento do câncer.
Eu estava relutante em criar um GoFundMe; no entanto, este foi meu último recurso, pois gastei todas as minhas economias em tratamentos alternativos privados não financiados pelo NHS (Saude publica daqui) A partir de agora, eu gastei milhares de libras nesses tratamentos, este GoFundMe me daria os meios para continuar lutando nesta batalha contínua e vencer o câncer. Estou longe da minha família; no entanto, tenho a sorte de ter o apoio de meus amigos e marido. Sinto que preciso fazer tudo o que estiver ao meu alcance para recuperar a saúde, porque não há nada maior do que o sentimento de querer viver que é um sentimento, sei muito bem.
