Help to bring Luna & Mochi from Indonesia to Scotland

Donation protected
Hi, we are Gordon, Gloria, Gabby and Gigi.

This year we will be permanently moving from Indonesia to Scotland.
We are four humans but our family is larger - we are six.
Mochi and Luna are part of our family and we are bringing them home with us.
This is going to happen whatever the cost. If I have to go bankrupt, so be it.

We rescued Maluna (Luna) from the beach when we first arrived back in 2022. She is a mixed breed with maybe a little Jack Russel, Poodle and some other kind of terrier in there. The vet said she was maybe 2/3 years old. She looked a lot older at the time and she was in a bad way, her teeth were rotten and she'd suffered massive fur loss due to a skin disease which is common in homeless animals in Bali. She was sick and didn't have long to go. We took her in and started the process of healing. She was very wary of men and was timid to touch.

Slowly her health and fur returned and she became a very grateful, happy and loving dog. It was clear she wanted to return the love we had given her.
When Gloria was pregnant with Gigi, Luna was there every night cuddling into Gloria's stomach. She was aware Gigi was there - and she knew this weeks before WE did!

Mochi, we believe is a Balinese Kintamani dog. She has the big, curly bushy tail to prove it. When I first found Mochi as a puppy she had already lost all the fur from her tail and it looked like a rats tail.
I was out walking with Luna one afternoon and we passed a piece of wasteland. I heard some quiet squeaking in the bushes and noticed a small puppy digging around in a bag of garbage. It's not unusual to see puppies out on the street and I figured the mommy dog will be around somewhere and decided to walk on by but made a mental note to return later in the evening to make sure the little dog had gone home or was safe with its mother.
Sadly, when I returned later in the evening the puppy was still in the same pile of garbage chewing on a used baby diaper. I realized then that she had been dumped there with the garbage and she was too scared to leave. Dumping dogs and puppies is not uncommon here.
I brought some food and water and she gladly came out of the garbage to receive it, she was extremely grateful and had clearly been waiting for rescue.
She was full of fleas but gladly ate to her hearts content and fell asleep in safety at our home.

It's unlikely she would have survived long, the vet said she was far too young to be on her own.

Mochi grew fast and it was clear that she would be a much larger dog than Luna. She was a trouble-maker and she ate the garden and my shoes but she was loving and fun.
In 2024 she had a serious leg injury which required an operation. A specialist vet was needed to perform the procedure and thankfully Mochi came through the operation and returned to full strength although she had lost a little of her adventurous puppy character and would prefer to stay home and guard rather than go out on mad explorations as she did before the injury.

Mochi is a big goofy dog, but she's smart. She learned to sit and give a paw in a matter of minutes. She's peaceful and caring and loves the kids - she is so tolerant. She sleeps close to us.

The option of re-homing our dogs is untrustworthy. So many animals end up back on the street when their new owners decide to leave or they are kicked out when they get sick. This is a risk we refuse to take.

There is a lot of paperwork, blood work, tests, sampling that we need to take care of before we even move to the process of crates and flights and processing at either side of the transfer.
We are planning to move them between June and August of this year. I will already be back in Scotland waiting. Gloria and the kids will come later in the year after we process her visa, and hopefully all six of us will be reunited for the best Christmas ever.

It will be a very stressful, emotional and expensive year for our family but we are determined to stay together.

With your help, you would make this process so much easier for us and any small donation you would like to make would be warmly appreciated.

Please share this as far and wide as you can. Your assistance would be wonderful!

Thank you so much!
Love from Gordon, Gloria, Gabby & Gigi x
