Hi there,
My name is Eulalee Blackwood and I live in Jamaica. My Sister lives in England and is faced with helping the family replace our roof after it was blown off during the storm of hurricane Melissa. My sister has asked Iris Prince who she knows very well to fundraise on our behalf.
Just like thousands of people facing the aftermath, it is so stressful to have your property damaged or completely destroyed.
As christians we believe and trust in God that help will come our way by His mighty hands. We give thanks to our heavenly Father that we are not marooned and there are no casualties within our family or the community.
Everyone affected needs help and I humbly ask if you can extend your generosity from within and give something for this urgent need.
We the people of Jamaica have gone through previous destructive hurricanes, however, we have never experienced anything like this before. Parts of our island is totally destroyed and we have been pushed back decades and into sufferings.
We are thankful for the external humanitarian aid from around the world, however, our infrastructure is so badly damaged, it has been reported that it will take between 6 to 10 years to restore.
I thank you form my heart for your help and may God continue bless you.
Proverbs 19:17: “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
