Bhanu Prabha from bhongiri, Telangana, India , is a woman whose life story is one of selflessness, sacrifice, and unconditional love for children.

Years ago, she faced unimaginable betrayal—her husband abandoned her, taking away her savings and leaving her alone to rebuild her life. Instead of giving up, Bhanu Prabha chose a path of service. She secured a government teaching job and dedicated every ounce of her strength, time, and income to educating and uplifting children in rural government schools.

For decades, she spent her earnings not on herself, but on her students. She bought books, and school supplies so no child under her care would be left behind. Generations of children from poor families found hope, confidence, and opportunities because of her. She became not just a teacher, but a mother figure, mentor, and role model.

But today, the woman who gave her entire life to children is fighting for her own. She resigned her job due to health issues .

Bhanu Prabha is suffering from kidney failure, circodiasis, and paralysis in her legs. Once known for her radiant smile and graceful presence, today she is bedridden and unrecognizable, her health stolen by disease. Doctors have recommended urgent treatment and surgery that will cost ₹20 lakhs INR / around $24,000 USD). Without it, she may not survive.

This is the time for all of us to give back to her—a woman who never asked for anything for herself, who gave everything to others.
