My name is TK Salser, and I’m reaching out for help as I work to rebuild my life after addiction. I was addicted to opiates for 16 years. I n 9/24/24 SC had a hurricane.Hurricane Helene. Halene hit the area i lived in spartanburg S.C. and the winds from it knocked a tree down right into the duplex i lived in which made me and my roommates homeless.While both my roomies had some place else to go i did not. I have now been homeless and trying to get back on my feet since then.after that there was a slippery slope and i ended u o having to enter rehab at Recovery Center of America in Greenville, SC, and spent 35 days focusing on my recovery. Afterward, I continued my journey at Myrtle Beach Recovery, where I completed both PHP and IOP programs for a total of 74 days. I was then accepted into an Oxford House, found three jobs, and was making real progress. Unfortunately, after a medical emergency that caused seizures, I lost my ability to work and, eventually, my housing—not because of relapse, but because I couldn’t pay rent and missed curfew while in the hospital. Also while having these seizures i lost my contact now for those of you whom wear glasses and/or contacts, you know without them your lost especially myself bc my vision is horrible my prescription is -4.50 in left and -4.75 in right and I have a astigmatism. So my contacts are more expensive. But bc I cldnt see well enough to do my job as a house keeper . So I lost both jobs .I have no family alive its jus me against the cold hard world. SO IF YOU GUYS DO NOT CARE THEN I HAVE NO ONE THAT CARES. PLEASE SOMEONE CARE !!!!

Right now, my most urgent needs are food,glasses/contacts and a safe place to live. So I can get off the street. I’m actively interviewing for jobs—six interviews lined up—and I’m determined to get back on my feet. My long-term goal is to find stable, year-round work and eventually return to school to become a peer support specialist, so I can help others facing the same struggles I have.

People who know me say I’m determined and have a heart of gold. Asking for help isn’t easy for me—I was raised to work for everything and never ask for a handout. But right now, I need support to get through this urgent situation. And i dont need a hand out but and hand UP!!! So guys' Any help, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and you seriously might just be saving my life. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer.
