Help Tyler Kloberdanz (TK) knock out Cancer
Donation protected
On October 10th, my brother Tyler was diagnosed with Stage 2B Testicular cancer at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. The cancer is a fast-spreading type called Embryonal Carcinoma. Typically, TC requires surgery and a light chemo dose as a precaution when caught early. Though he had sought medical attention after the first signs of concern, the cancer had quickly spread to 5-6 lymph nodes, requiring three rounds or 9 weeks of intense chemotherapy. Luckily, his liver, lungs, and brain were clear. The success rate is favorable, though he may require an additional open surgery (RPLND) to remove affected lymph nodes. We will find out more in post-chemo scans. This intrusive surgery will require a two-month recovery time and carries a high risk of life-altering side effects. Tyler is committed to doing whatever it takes to prevent having to go through this again and will have close surveillance for 5-10 years.
With the intense chemotherapy regime, Tyler has been sidelined from work on short-term disability and has been focusing on recovery/healing the best he can. We are wanting to help ease the financial burden and prevent him and Machaela from being weighed down by medical bills for years to come. Our family is grateful for all the prayers, words of encouragement, and support during this time.
