I’m a single Black mom, and I also live with a heart condition that requires me to wear a Zoll LifeVest. I developed this heart condition at the birth of my baby in June 2025, after a student administered my epidural and I went into cardiac arrest. Since then, we have been living in a hotel for 8 months, doing everything I can to stay afloat and take care of my baby. Now, after completing the walkthrough, background check, and application process, I’ve finally been approved for an apartment.

I’m so close to securing a safe home for us, but I need a little help to cover the move-in costs.
